A new scandal has erupted in the poker community as professional player and Americas Cardroom (ACR) ambassador Ebony Kenny found herself at the center of accusations of unfair play. A video surfaced online showing her using GTO Wizard, an analytical tool banned by most poker rooms during gameplay.

February 2025 began with heated discussions among poker enthusiasts. A video appeared on the internet showing Ebony Kenny opening the GTO Wizard program during an online game. This sparked outrage because such tools provide a mathematical advantage, violating the principles of fair competition.

Kenny was quick to defend herself, stating that the video was recorded over a year ago, in January 2024. According to her, she used the software only to analyze a hand that had already been played, not for real-time advice. However, the poker community met her explanation with skepticism, as even post-factum use of such tools during active gaming sessions is considered questionable practice.

Americas Cardroom, which sponsors Kenny, issued an official statement emphasizing that the incident had already been investigated in 2024, with no violations found at the time. Nevertheless, the renewed wave of discussions led to criticism not only of Kenny herself but also of ACR’s policies regarding its ambassadors.

This case is not the first scandal involving cheating in poker. It once again raises questions about the transparency of online tournaments, the responsibility of poker rooms, and the boundaries of acceptable use of auxiliary programs. The community continues to monitor the situation and awaits further comments from ACR and Kenny herself.
